I've spent 20+ years in recruitment - building agencies, running them, and learning what actually works in Regional NSW.

That last part matters. Regional recruitment isn't a smaller version of city recruitment. The relationships are closer, the reputations travel faster, and the right hire can change a whole business. It's where I've built my career, and it's the market I know best.

Somewhere along the way, coaching and mentoring became the part I love most. I work with recruiters who want to grow, and with small business owners who are figuring things out as they go. No jargon, no fluff - just practical guidance from someone who's made the mistakes and worked out what to do instead.

Two things I'm genuinely excited about:

I'm stepping into staffing and building a new business. After 20+ years, I'm still not done - and that says something about how much I love this work. My background sits across HR and healthcare administration, with hands-on recruitment experience from a People & Culture internship at Port of Newcastle. There I ran candidate screening, phone interviews, shortlisting and onboarding across a high-volume hiring campaign. I'm now completing my Diploma of Human Resource Management, building on my Certificate IV.

What drives me is simple: getting people into work that suits them. I'm organised, detail-focused, and I care about doing right by both the candidate and the client.

My career across diverse industries has shaped the way I approach recruitment -practical, people-focused and with a real understanding of what businesses need, not just what’s written in a job description.

My recruitment experience covers the full process, start to finish. I take the brief and get to know what a business needs from every aspect. From there, it’s sourcing, screening, shortlisting, and interviewing, through to reference checks and helping get a new starter settled in.

On the client side, I’m big on building relationships that last. Good recruitment shouldn’t feel like a one-off transaction, it should feel like a partnership. I want to understand your business, your people and what you’re trying to achieve.

Personally, for me there’s real satisfaction in getting a placement right and when a client shares with you ‘Wow, you really understood our brief, you nailed it’ or when one of our associates lands a new role which they love!
